About me and my therapy practiceI am a very experienced counsellor/psychotherapist in private practice. I have a Masters Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and an Honours Degree in Psychology. I work in an integrative way which means my practice draws on several different theoretical models. They include Humanistic/Person Centred; Existential; Psychoanalytic and Post Modern. I have worked in private practice for many years and also have experience of working in the NHS as an Honorary Psychotherapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of issues for example: relationship issues; depression; anxiety; low self esteem.
If you are considering therapy then we can arrange an initial phone conversation followed by a face to face assessment, (chargeable at the normal rate), after which you can decide whether you wish to continue. We will discuss what your difficulties or concerns are, and you can learn more about how therapy/counselling may work for you.
My sessions are client led, which means I will be guided by you and work at your pace. My aim is to create a safe space in which you can explore your feelings and what is going on in your life.
Counselling/Therapy is normally once a week with sessions lasting 50 minutes at my private practice.
