About me and my therapy practice

I support clients facing a wide range of difficulties from challenging relationships to anxiety, depression and bereavement. I specialise in supporting men and women through pregnancy, baby loss, miscarriage, still birth and IVF.

My strength is building warm therapeutic relationships with my clients and creating a safe and non-judgemental space where they feel truly heard and understood.

If you are feeling unhappy and facing difficult times, there’s a good chance that counselling can help you. Talking to someone who is qualified, truly cares and listens without judgement, can bring enormous relief and free you to move forward.

I am a Humanistic counsellor, which means I can combine a number of theoretical models and techniques.

I draw on my experience and training to support clients to feel empowered to navigate change and live life more fully. However, I’m not an expert on you or your story, and our sessions will be at your pace and guided by what you want to achieve. Whatever you bring will be treated respectfully and in confidence.

Practice description

My practice is based in Ealing and Chiswick in West London. At the moment, during the coronavirus crisis, I am working online or on the phone, but will return to working in person when it’s safe to do so.

I see clients with a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, low mood and bereavement. I also work for a specialist pregnancy and baby loss charity in central London. Personal experience ignited my interest in this area, and I have since supported both men and women through miscarriage, still birth, infertility struggles, IVF, donor conception, terminations and the personal impact these events can have, as well as the impact on relationships.

How childhood experiences impact us as adults is also an area I'm  interested in, with a particular leaning towards supporting people whose experience at school impacts them today, particularly those who feel that attending boarding school at a young age has changed the way they relate to the those around them.

My first session

I offer a free introductory telephone conversation – it is opportunity for you to ask questions and decide if I’m the right therapist for you. You will have the chance to tell me a little bit about yourself, how things are for you at the moment and what brings you to therapy. There is no need to do any preparation.

I offer a phone conversation as first sessions can feel a bit daunting - I will do my best to put you at your ease. We can then decide if therapy is the best way for you to seek help at the moment and if so, how we can work together. There will also be time for you to ask any questions you might have.
