About me and my therapy practice

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds. My aim is to help you find ways to manage situations and make life more fulfilling.

The first step is to have an initial appointment with no obligations. You can say more about your situation and ask questions. I will say more about how I work.

Appointments in Hillingdon: Tuesday morning / Thursday morning

Initial appointment £40; appointments £60

I have been involved in counselling and psychotherapy since 2009, with a Masters and a Diploma.

How I work

Counselling is a chance to talk about topics and feelings you can't discuss with family and friends. We can talk about anger, anxiety, depression – and topics such as work, relationships, addiction, sex, money, illness, anything.

If something is difficult to talk about, there is no rush. On the other hand, you might like to go straight to the heart of the matter.

We are all different. My aim is to help you find your own voice and way of being in the world.

I have an interest in how our experiences growing up can affect us. The way we were brought up and upsetting incidents in the home and at school, etc, can have a big impact. Looking at these experiences can help make sense of them and help us to feel better.

Another approach is to ask: “What keeps happening?” We can get stuck in patterns and types of relationship, and looking at these can help break the cycle.

Counselling can also be used to explore life’s big questions: “What is life for and how can I make the most of it?” To this end, I have an interest in religious and spiritual topics, with no personal agenda.

Counselling can be challenging, but it can also be exciting to discover new ideas and ways of being in the world.

I invite you to bring whatever is on your mind. Sometimes our thoughts race and it is difficult to relax. I might suggest breathing or mindfulness exercises.
