About me and my therapy practice

I offer short-term and long-term therapy for adults of all ages and backgrounds. I hope to provide a space for you to be honest about any concerns to help find a way forward.

I have been involved in counselling and psychotherapy since 2009. I have a Masters and a Diploma, and a degree majoring in psychology.

First step is to email or call to arrange an initial appointment with no obligations. This is a chance for you to meet me and ask any questions you might have about counselling.

Current availability in Hillingdon: Tuesday and Thursday mornings

Initial appointment £40; appointments £50

How I work

If you are new to counselling, it can feel unusual at first because it is an opportunity to talk about topics and feelings you might not normally speak about. But this is what counsellors are trained to do. We can explore all feelings, including anger, anxiety, depression - and topics such as addiction, sex, money, illness.

We are all different. My aim is to help you find your own voice and way of being in the world. It is an opportunity to discover your ‘true self’ beneath life’s complications.

Sometimes the focus is on practical solutions for a particular issue. It can also be helpful to look at how our experiences growing up shaped us in a general way: our beliefs and patterns of behaviour. Sometimes counselling is about finding meaning and purpose.

Many people feel anxious or depressed at different times of life. It is common to have work and relationship concerns. Sometimes we feel down or frustrated and don't know why. We can have a sense of wanting more out of life. Counselling is a way of looking at all these areas without judgement to try and find a way forward.

My style mostly involves talking - and you are always welcome to comment on how we are working together.
