About me and my therapy practice
I recognise that taking the step to access therapy can be daunting, and offer clients a chance to be listened to and understood in setting where they can feel safe.
Clients have different needs and the number of sessions required will vary from person to person. Following an initial assessment, we will work collaboratively to decide what is the best way forward for you.
I am a psychotherapist registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) as a chartered psychologist (CPsychol) and a member of the BACP.
My clinical practice draws on evidence-based psychological therapies that provide the best outcomes for clients. This includes both 2nd and 3rd wave CBT and existential therapy. I trained and worked in the NHS for a number of years in different services and have experience of working with people of all ages, including children and older adults, with a number of psychological presentations.
I have experience working with people who have accessed therapy with a number of different presenting issues. These range from trauma, addiction, bereavement and relationship struggles, to illness and difficulties in life that can cause anxiety and depression.
I also gained a number of years of experience working with clients who have acquired physical disabilities and complex health conditions and the psychological impact this can have on both themselves and their families. I also have personal experience of acquired disability and use a wheelchair due to an injury.
I have worked with clients who have recently experienced bereavement as well as clients who are end-of-life to help them find meaning and purpose during these difficult times.
I also have experience as a school counsellor, working with children and young adults who are experiencing psychological difficulties.
My clinic is located in Gidea Park and is a bright and comfortable space with off-street parking.
I am DBS checked and my work is supervised monthly by an external supervisor.
My clinical practice adheres to BPS and BACP ethical guidelines.
