About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully trained Person-Centred Counsellor, with a BA (Hons) in Counselling Solutions. This means I am a integrated counsellor and can offer you several therapeutic techniques. I am always empathic, honest, non- judgemental and good at listening. I believe in letting you lead the way. I promote Self efficacy, which is there to help empower you. This then enable you to move forward at your own pace.
I have had my own practice since December 2018, and I have worked as a volunteer at Sure Start Doncaster. I have worked for an employee assistant program and other agencies.
My first session
The room is a safe place for you to talk, and it is where you can express your deepest emotions.
The first session, I will have some paperwork for you to look at and I will do a more in depth assessment. (I do a small assessment over the phone to see if I am able to help you) The paper work includes an agreement, which address subjects like confidentiality. This paperwork is important as we will sign the agreement together
After this has been done, I will encourage you to talk and find out what brings you to counselling and what type of help you are requiring from myself.
This is only briefly what happens, you have full autonomy and you control the rest of the 50 minutes session
