About me and my therapy practice

Hello and thank you for considering counselling with me. Are you struggling with your mental health, feeling stressed, overwhelmed, anxious or depressed? Relating to our partner or family seems more difficult than before. Are the thoughts in your head holding you back, feelings you need to share with someone who will listen?

I am an experienced Person-Centred counsellor who uses a talking approach and listens to your individual experience with empathy and kindness. I can provide a space for you to talk confidentially and be heard in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. I understand it may seem embarrassing or painful at first thinking about what’s happened. Providing a space where you can feel comfortable to talk and really feel heard. Exploring how you are feeling, what life is like for you and working at your pace. It is possible to discover what you really need to move towards making changes and feeling better.

I have worked with individuals experiencing issues of infidelity and relationship breakdown, violence. Sexuality and Identity, exploring the question of who am I? Negative childhood experiences. Sexual abuse and violence. supporting those struggling with the effects of PTSD, trauma, shame, and negative thoughts. As BACP registered member my work is ethically bound by their framework and commitment to clients.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy their Ethical Framework and commitment to clients shape my practice.

Level 5 CPCAB Diploma Integrating Attachment-based Psychotherapy into Clinical Practice. (Sept 23- June 24)

Volunteer Counsellor includes working with young people's mental health in SBC OnTrak and with Adult Clients at Cotswold Counselling.

Those who have experienced a difficult start in life including Childhood trauma, neglect and abuse. PTSD, gender identity or sexuality worries, Domestic abuse, relationship difficulties, menopause, affairs and trust issues. Those experiencing recent diagnosis or ill health, including those parents caring for children/partners on the Autistic spectrum.
