About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes life throws us a curveball and you may feel like things are not working out the way you hoped for. This could be because of a recent issue or sometimes you may feel that life hasn’t gone the way you’d like for a long time. The coronavirus also has had an enormous impact on how we live our lives and as we adjust to the new ‘normal’ we might experience stress, anxiety or maybe just feeling that you are finding it difficult to cope.
I’m a integrative counsellor which means I am qualified with a range of techniques to help find, explore, develop and support you with your struggles in life. I won’t provide you with solutions but I can help guide and walk with you whilst you work out the best way to move forward with your life.
You will be listened to in a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space and will be able to talk through your issues whilst I offer a range of techniques that will be tailored to your individual needs. My counselling room is relaxing and calm and you will be encouraged to explore your feelings as well as being offered techniques in how to deal with them.
Seeking a counsellor is a very personal choice and it will help to find someone who you are comfortable with and who works hard to understand your thoughts and feelings.
My first session
I offer a free 20 min initial session to see how we get on and if we can work together and to make sure you are happy with the environment we are working in. During this session we can do all the boring stuff like assessments and form filling etc. We can talk about your initial concerns that has brought you to therapy and get to know each other a little better. It will give you an opportunity to ask any questions that might be concerning you about therapy and make sure you're 100% happy before you commit. If we are working online it will ensure that we can connect with each other ok and you are confident to speak with me online.
