About me and my therapy practice
The most important factor in your recovery will be the relationship with your therapist. People often consider themselves apart from others in some way. A healing relationship can help come to terms with these issues. I have a natural empathy toward people with a musical or artistic inclination, and those with disabilities such as dyslexia and associated difference. Some of my clients consider themselves apart from others in some way.
Depending on your inclination we can look at childhood issues or what is happening in your life at present. If you have a target issue to deal with do let me know as we can use that as a starting point. Alongside talking therapy, we may work with visualisation techniques or encourage forms of self expression such as writing, drawing or music.
Recently I have started to use whats known as the "third wave CBT therapy". In this approach, the focus is on what our thoughts, feelings and behaviour mean to us, rather than trying to change things. We change naturally as circumstances evolve. Get in touch by phone or email for a chat. Sessions last 60 minutes.
