About me and my therapy practice
I am a person centred counsellor and psychotherapist based in North-East Edinburgh. In addition to working with a local charity as a counsellor, I volunteer with LGBT Health and Wellbeing.
I have experienced the positive changes that looking at my life in the presence of a warm, accepting and non-judgmental counsellor can bring. This is what I aim to offer clients in my own practice.
You’re probably considering making some changes in your life, or you are looking for help to address some difficulties that may be hindering your personal growth. My aim is to support you with compassion and empathy, and help you explore and better understand the issues that brought you to therapy.
I will accept you as you are and listen without judgement as you try to identify the changes you want to make in your life. I will stay alongside you and help you to challenge yourself as you come to terms with past decisions and make some new ones.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute free telephone meeting where I will invite you to tell me a bit about what you hope to get from counselling. I will also tell you a bit more about how I work. This is to enable us both to decide whether I am a good fit for you.
