About me and my therapy practice
The psychodynamic approach is about exploring experiences that have led to unhelpful thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. By coming to understand why we repeatedly behave or react in a particular way, we have the possibility of adopting healthier responses and improving the quality of our relationships. We can learn to respond consciously rather than react unconsciously. This is emotional growth.
The privacy and anonymity of therapy can provide a helpful space to 'put' your concerns, and the time to reflect on them within the context of a safe and supportive relationship.
