About me and my therapy practice

Worked in: • NHS- this includes clinics and hospitals • Police • Voluntary sector • Education- Primary and secondary schools • Local authorities- including early intervention services and Youth Offending Service. I have an extensive background in providing therapy to children and adolescents with complex needs, this includes; ADHD, ASD, eating disorders, deliberate self-harm, clients who have attempted suicide or have suicidal tendencies, and young offenders. • I have conducted classroom observations, to support clients in school. • Provided play therapy (using the psychodynamic model) and creative play with the young ones (long and short term therapy) and have engaged children that are hard to reach. • My approach is psychodynamic but it is extremely important to accommodate around the client’s needs, therefore taking into account their learning needs. I am very passionate about this area in particular.

Practice description

My practice is located in central Ealing Broadway. It has security through out the day and evening, wheelchair access and adheres to covid regulations.

There is a large waiting room area and washroom facilities- all on the same floor.

My first session

Before initiating therapy, I will complete an initial assessment, collating information from your child and the parents/guardians. However, if there is information that cannot be discussed in front of your child, please call me on 07522 855 756 first.

This assessment takes approximately 60 minutes, depending on the individual child and family. You and your child will complete a therapy intake form, and confidentiality agreement.

Once I have decided on the best approach, I will explain why I have chosen this approach, as well as the aims of therapy and approximately how many sessions are required.

I follow the NICE guidelines for clinical decisions, and normally hold a small review session in case there is a change in the therapy plan.
