If you are struggling, I am here to help you. You will be listened to with empathy, understanding and acceptance, and together we will make greater sense of your thoughts and feelings to not just manage your symptoms, but to overcome anxiety or lift your mood.
If you are feeling stuck or that you need some help and support, I can help you to explore what may be blocking your happiness and wellbeing, and to support you as you embark on a personal journey towards greater mental and emotional health.
If you are finding relationships difficult - it could be at work, or with a partner, parent, sibling or friend - I will work with you to help you to understand why this happens, and to explore how painful or traumatic events or relationships from your past, could be impacting on your life now. Working together will bring peace of mind and healing, which in turn will lighten your spirit and transform your sense of well-being!
Covid Tiering permitting, face-to-face sessions are available with social distancing measures in place, and I am also able to offer Skype, Zoom or telephone sessions during periods of lockdown - please don’t let the thought of remote sessions put you off reaching out, because we can still ‘meet’ and connect from within our own homes. Might this just be the perfect opportunity during these times of uncertainty, to begin therapy and spend some time on yourself?
About me and my therapy practice
I believe the key to overcoming emotional problems and the damaging effects of past hurts, lies within the quality of a trusting and confidential therapeutic relationship, which we will build together in a comfortable and confidential environment.
Person-centred and non-judgmental in my approach, I work in a humanistic way, integrating psychodynamic theory with practical goal-setting, incorporating Sensorimotor/Internal Family Systems Psychotherapy where helpful, because I believe the body, mind and soul are all inter-connected.

I specialise in work-related stress, and have a particular interest in the field of attachment and trauma, and in working to support clients who either have been diagnosed with a personality disorder, or who are in relationship with someone who has a personality disorder.
Are you struggling as a Couple? I am a trained Couples Counsellor, committed to helping you both to develop your understanding of yourself and one another, and to improve the style and quality of your communication to build, repair -or re-connect to, a closer and more fulfilling relationship.
Additionally, I am a qualified Coach, personal stylist and an experienced Supervisor, Mentor and mental-health awareness Trainer.
I am able to offer discounted remote sessions to frontline NHS clients, or those suffering financial hardship, during these times of social distancing and lockdown.
I work within an ethical framework and am a registered member of BACP.
My first session
If you haven’t ever had any counselling before, it can feel daunting reaching out the first time, and I will do my best to put you at ease. There is no obligation to continue, so you can book a session knowing it’s completely up to you to decide if working together feels right.
Our first confidential session will include brief history taking as part of a comfortable discussion, with plenty of time for you to ask questions so that you fully understand what to expect in your sessions . We will also agree Covid-19 post lockdown procedures.
It’s important to not feel rushed, and so I like to allow 60- 75 minutes for a first session. All my clients report experiencIng an immediate sense of relief and a renewed sense of hope for better times ahead - from their very first session!
