About me and my therapy practiceAt a time of stress, distress or decision, meeting with an impartial professional can provide time and space for you as an individual or couple to think, talk and reflect. A quiet space and reflective moment has never been more important as we collectively navigate the impact of Covid 19; whether feeling anxious or overwhelmed due to social distancing, isolation or the restrictions of confinement.
I provide individual and couple therapy where you can talk about your difficulties and concerns. Understanding what matters to you is my first task as a therapist. In seeking a closer understanding of what matters to you, psychotherapy provides insights into why you make the choices you do and can help you understand what new possibilities are open to you.
I have experience providing online therapy across several platforms; Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp or FaceTime. My style is warm and non-judgemental, attentive to your experiences, emotions and thoughts. It is through clarifying anxious and problematic aspects of your life that you to develop a greater understanding of yourself and realise and reconnect with the emotional intelligence you already possess. Working together we will establish a greater recognition of your resources and strengths empowering you to meet the challenges of your life and to make better and safer choices.
I work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger, grief, self-esteem and relationship issues. I have worked in the NHS and I have specialist training in trauma and addictive/ compulsive disorders.
I offer evening and daytime appointments. Sessions last 50 minutes, meeting usually once a week preferably at a regular time. The rhythm of regular weekly meetings, creates a stable arena for change.
