About me and my therapy practice

Do you just want to feel happier? More content with who you are? Less anxious or less depressed? Or even just a bit better than what you do right now? Is that too much to ask?

I am a B.A.C.P. Accredited, Person-Centred Counsellor with a Foundation Degree in Counselling (with Commendation) from the University of Sunderland (2011) and a Degree in Nursing Studies from Edinburgh University (1996). I also studied the first two years of the Psychology degree at Edinburgh and have over 9 years of counselling experience working extensively with most issues in several different settings- privately, in a university, in General Practice and for charities.

If you would like to find out more about counselling with me or to book your first, free, no obligation, initial session, which should help you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you, please call or text me on 07925 788 503 or call (0191) 603 1412 and leave me a message. Alternatively, you can e-mail me at enquiries@fionaprentiscounselling.co.uk.

"What is the worst that could happen?" you may ask. Well, you might think that you will feel obliged to book another appointment when you are not 100% sure that you are quite ready for counselling just yet or that I am the right counsellor for you? Well, no, after your free, no obligation, initial session you would be welcome to go away and think about things for as long as you need to. If you are then still interested in having some counselling with me then just contact me when, or if, you are ready to book another appointment.

So, just take a couple minutes just now to think about what would be important to you in a counsellor and what you might hope to achieve through counselling. Then if you think that we might work well together call, text or e-mail me and start the ball rolling.
