About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced therapist that uses a combination of talking therapy and directional approaches to best support the individual needs of my clients.
I can offer you a safe, comfortable and non-judgemental space so that you can talk freely and in confidence about what's happened in your life. I can help you to make better sense of difficult experiences and show you effective techniques that may help you challenge any negative thoughts that may be preventing you from enjoying a fulfilled life. Talking about your problems may also help lessen feelings of isolation and despair. This itself can be helpful during times of depression, anxiety or change.
I invite you to call or email me for an appointment. You can tell me about what's troubling you and together we can discuss a plan of support that'll best meet your needs.
I abide by the professional and ethical frameworks of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and National Counselling Society.
I am a registered practitioner on the BACP Register.
I abide by current GDPR Laws and am registered with the Information Commissioners Office.
I offer a modern, comfortable and confidential counselling space within my home. It is easily accessible via public transport links as well as car/bike and there is plenty of free local parking.
My first session
Our first session will last approximately 1 hour.
I will ask questions about you, what's happened in your life and about your current difficulties.
I will take brief notes during this session. These provide me with useful reference information whilst we get to know each other better.
We will talk about a support plan that'll best suit your hopes and needs.
