About me and my therapy practice
Bereavement counselling and support: I offer bereavement counselling for the death of a person, and bereavement support for the death of an animal. I am trained and insured to offer telephone, email, webcam and video, as well as face to face counselling.
I qualified as a counsellor in 2008, and have been in practice for over 7 years, having had a break for a few years inbetween.
I am also trained and experienced:
- in working with young people from age 11 upwards
- as a bereavement support counsellor, having worked for Cruse Bereavement Care providing bereavement support for over 5 years for Cruse clients
- as a pet bereavement support counsellor, having been trained by the Blue Cross
Having experienced the death of people and animals close to me over the years, and gone through a whole range of emotions, and extremes of grief, I have developed strong feelings about wanting to support other people going through their own grieving from the death of people or animals. As a result, I focus on counselling and support for bereavement - whilst also acknowledging, however, that talking about a bereavement may also bring in other life issues, and so is likely to not be limited to talking about bereavement exclusively.
