About me and my therapy practice
I focus much of my work with clients who have reached an impasse in their lives, feel stuck and like they are making the same relationship or work choices again and again. Perhaps they have a general dissatisfaction in life that they cannot seem to see a way past. I seek to change and understand why you keep repeating negative cycles of behaviour. I have experience working with clients; particularly in relationship difficulties, bereavement, jealousy, anger, anxiety and negative thoughts.
I work with you to understand your patterns of behaviour, looking into past traumas and events that may have hurt you and have stalled your personal development. I have a background in both psychodynamic and Schema therapy which helps you to understand how you can change yourself and move on and reach your goals.
We often feel that life happens to us rather than remembering we can affect change for ourselves. It is only by being kind to oneself and taking the time to grieve and process our emotions can we move forward positively. I look forward to helping you in this difficult time.
I offer a safe, confidential place for clients to explore their difficulties working towards deeper understanding and a way forward.
Issues could include; depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, grief, loss, divorce, abandonment, hopelessness, self-harm, eating disorders and domestic violence.

My first session
In my first session I will provide you with some time to tell me your story and what is troubling you at the moment without fear of judgment. We will think about your goals for therapy and normally we will set up times to meet.
