About me and my therapy practice

So what is Emotional Therapeutic Counselling?

Emotional Therapeutic Counselling is an interactive, creative, talking therapy for people who are suffering emotional turmoil in their lives, whether brought about by crisis, a long term situation, persistent unhappiness, depression, apathy or difficulties in relating to others. Emotional Therapeutic Counselling holds the belief that emotional wellbeing is a key to a happy fulfilling life.

Therapy sessions generally last 50 minutes.

Practice description

How can Emotional Therapeutic Counselling help?

A key aspect of Emotional Therapeutic Counselling is the range of techniques and creative tools that can be used to assist you to both recognise and release painful feelings in an appropriate manner, by working with your emotions rather than your mind.

The therapeutic counselling goes at your pace and the numbers of sessions will vary according to your needs. Emotional Therapists are trained to a very high standard and subscribe to a Code of Conduct which provides commitment to ongoing training and supervision.

My first session

It is important for you to find a therapeutic counsellor you feel comfortable with and I offer an initial consultation (20-30 minutes) free so we can meet in person and you can ask any questions you may have to help you make the right choice for you.

I ask you a series of structured questions so that I can learn more about you, I explain my process and approach and give you time to ask any questions you might have. You then get a chance to go away and decide you felt comfortable speaking with me and then if yes you then simply need to email me to confirm your availability and book sessions.

During this time of the coronavirus pandemic I am providing full online sessions using the latest online software Zoom which is free of charge and can easily be downloaded onto your mobile phone, Ipad or computer in a couple of minutes and costs nothing to use and I will talk you through everything you need to download it and answer a video call from me.
