About me and my therapy practice

I am a MBACP.  I offer support for those struggling with bereavement, depression, addictions, anxiety, relationship issues and suicide. My therapeutic approach is an integrative one, incorporating the principles of Person-Centred Therapy (a non-directive, empathic approach that empowers clients to fulfil their own potential), Psychodynamic Therapy (which explores the influence of the past on current behaviours) and also CBT, when more specific guidance is required and appropriate.

Practice description

I can offer both on line and in person counselling in a supportive, confidential and safe environment.

My first session

On the first session i will ask:

What are your symptoms?

What brought you to therapy?

What do you feel is wrong in your life?

Some questions about your history, including your childhood, education, relationships (family, romantic, friends), your current living situation, and your career.

We will discuss goals and length of therapy, confidentiality and payment.
