About me and my therapy practice
I offer counselling for children and young adults and am an integrative counsellor working predominantly in a person-centred way. This means I work with what the young person brings to each session. I have over 15 years experience across a range of settings working with young people both in primary and secondary school settings as well as in an outreach capacity. I have a special interest in neurodevelopmental differences such as ADHD and Autism, but work with a wide range of issues that currently affect young people.
I am passionate about empowering young people to have a voice, and work through difficulties that may be causing them to become distressed. Sometimes I use creative therapies to aid the therapy process, but at other times, talking therapy or a solutions focused approach may help the young person move forward both emotionally and developmentally. Ultimately, I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for young people to explore their difficulties.
