Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor
I qualified as an integrative Person Centred Counsellor, and I also hold a Level 5 in Psychotherapy Counselling and am a BACP registered counsellor. Its Ethical Framework compels me to adhere to Good Practice. In addition, I am a graduate member of the BPS owing to my Educational Psychology diploma, which I have held since 2001.
I hold a Level 7, KRCS Advanced Diploma in Counselling Supervision, which is accredited by the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists which makes myself as a Registered and Accredited Clinical Supervisor.
Supervision is a joint endeavour in which a counsellor with the help of a supervisor, attends to their clients, themselves as part of their client practitioner relationships and the wider systemic context, and by doing so improves the quality of their work, transforms their client relationships, continuously develops themselves, their practice, and the wider profession.
It is a working alliance between a supervisor and a counsellor in which the counsellor can offer an account of their work, reflect on it, receive feedback and guidance, enabling supervisee to develop competence and responsibility for their practice and in a safe and ethical way.
My role is to help you feel safe and supported by maintaining the boundary between supervision and counselling. which can help you to increase your self-awareness and to better understand the clients and to be more open to share client work and to feel safe within a working alliance.
My aim is to provide well-being and good practice as a supervisor, uphold the client's best interests, and a safe and confidential space to reflect and explore any concerns that may arise during supervision.
