About me and my therapy practice
"Binge-watching Netflix and cute cats pics on Instagram no longer doing the trick? I offer a warm and understanding space to make sense of your troubles and find a way forward. Online therapy for depression, anxiety, relationships issues & more."
When we're feeling down, anxious or stressed, we often look for ways to distract ourselves, to try to escape from it all. Sometimes this helps, in the short-term. But it doesn't get to the heart of the problem and it can even make things worse.
I'm a warm and experienced therapist with a background in charities, the NHS, and private practice. I’ve had the privilege of helping people from all walks of life to navigate their difficulties and find more fulfilment.
Having the space to explore your difficulties, without judgement, is an important part of healing. But this doesn't mean I will just passively listen...
Practice description
The idea of therapy can feel daunting, especially with so many therapists to choose between and all that jargon out there. So here’s what sessions with me look like, without the fluff:
- Safe: Trust is the foundation of therapy. I aim to create an environment where you feel safe to explore at your own pace. With empathy, warmth, and authenticity, I actively support you in deepening your self-understanding.
- Collaborative: There is no one-size-fits-all. I will work with you to find a focus, approach and balance that resonates with you. I call on my experience of different approaches to therapy to align with your needs.
- Holistic: I invite exploration of all of you—your mind, feelings, bodily sensations, and everything in between. After all, we’re more than just one of these. Our thoughts, feelings, and body all work together to shape how we experience life.
With these principles in place, I can support you to find your way towards wellbeing, confidence, and personal growth.
For those who want specifics, I work from a person-centred base and integrate other approaches within this, including: experiential and body-based therapies, Internal Family Systems, mindfulness and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
Specialisms
I have worked successfully with a large range of issues and continue to welcome people with diverse needs and backgrounds. At the same time, I have developed specialisms and areas of interest over the years.
These include:
• Depression, anxiety, and stress
• Relationship issues
• Identity struggles
• Low self-esteem and trauma
