About me and my therapy practice
Do you feel anxious or stuck?
Life can feel incredibly difficult at times, with our past experiences of trauma or anxiety keeping us feeling 'stuck' and uncertain of who we are or how to move forward.
As a relational therapist, I offer a safe, supportive space where we can explore and help you make sense of your experiences and emotions without fear of judgment.
Together, we can;
- make sense of your past experiences by exploring in them in the present.
- have awareness of how the past trauma has shaped your sense of self, to release you from feeling 'stuck'.
- build trust in our relationship and explore your sense of safety
- identify unhelpful beliefs and how they impact you.
- create a greater awareness of your potential for growth, healing and self-acceptance, to create new possibilities for ourselves.
- uncover deeper insights and patterns within your relationships.
I am grounded in humanistic relational approaches such as Gestalt Therapy, Existential and Somatic practices. I help you tune into the "here-and-now," increasing awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations. This awareness allows you to release the past and what no longer serves you, to create space for living fully in the present.
As a trauma-informed counsellor, I have specialist training in working with individuals who have experienced childhood adversity (ACEs), domestic or sexual abuse, and other forms of trauma. I work from an intersectional approach, understanding how your unique life experiences or neuro-diversity play a vital role in how you perceive and experience yourself.
In addition to my therapy practice, I am an experienced myofascial release therapist with a background in chronic pain management, both physical and emotional. I specialise in helping clients navigate trauma held in the body and chronic pain.
Practice description
I am available to see clients face-to-face at The Wilbury Clinic in Hove or online.
