About me and my therapy practice
I have particular interest in and experience working with anxiety, depression and complex trauma. My commitment to therapeutic work stems from a strong desire to understand and help alleviate suffering.
Integrated throughout my practice is my belief in the importance of creating a warm and trustworthy space where you can explore the challenges you’re facing and gain deeper self-awareness.
Prior to working privately, I worked for five years in the NHS and the voluntary sector providing compassionate and reliable support to individuals to talk openly about their struggles without being judged.
Qualifications:
I studied MSc Gender, with particular interests in psychoanalysis, critical race theory and post/coloniality (London School of Economics, 2019), followed by training in:
MSc Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy
My first session
Before therapy commences, we would meet for an initial consultation of 1-2 sessions where I would find out more about your history and current circumstances. We would then discuss whether therapy with me might be suitable for you.
I work on an open-ended basis and ask clients to consider a long-term commitment before our initial consultation.
