About me and my therapy practice
Hiya, I’m Lennie.
I work with teenagers, young adults, and the grown-ups they’ve become. The ones who never quite fit the mould and are tired of pretending they do. I help teens carve out their identity in a world full of labels while supporting the parents and professionals navigating the chaos with them. Life with the people you care about should be something you enjoy, not just survive. Let’s face it, keeping your head down and pretending everything’s fine won’t get you anywhere.Together, we’ll tackle what you’ve been avoiding, rewrite the rules to suit you, rebuild your confidence, and create a life that finally fits.
Every day, I work with people tackling anxiety, anger, relationship chaos, and all those “for F$%& sake” moments. Let me say this loud and clear: you’re not broken! Therapy isn’t about fixing you, it’s about understanding yourself, finding clarity, and learning how to take on challenges in a way that feels right.
There’ll be setbacks, mistakes, and maybe some colourful language. But I’m here for all of it. Ready to listen and help you find your way. Life is unpredictable, but it doesn’t have to stay overwhelming. For the past 10 years, I’ve helped people embrace their unruly selves, let go of bad feelings, and build lives that finally feel like theirs.
Sound good? Let’s chat! I’d love to help you take the first step.

What’s it like to work with me?
It starts with a quick email or message. We’ll book a free 20 to 30 minute online consultation where you can share what’s going on and get a feel for how I work. If it’s not the right fit, that’s okay. I’ll help you find someone who is.
If you decide to go ahead, we’ll figure out what suits you best. That could be online or in person at my cosy Skelmersdale space. Comfort is important here. Whether you like your shoes off or need a brew in hand, my space is yours.
You can book and manage sessions online. Payments and reminders are sorted for you to keep things simple.
We work at your pace. Whether you're a teenager, a parent, or an adult carrying more than you let on, you’re welcome here. This is a space to be heard, not fixed.
If you’re ready, reach out. Let’s talk.

What to Expect in Your First Session
Before we meet, I’ll send you a welcome email with a contract and a short form. This helps us avoid spending your session on admin. If the form feels confusing or heavy, that’s okay. We can go through it together when we meet.
At your first session, whether online or in person, we’ll take a few minutes to settle in. You can grab a brew, take a breath, and ease into the space. We’ll start by going over the contract so everything feels clear and comfortable.
Then we talk about what brought you here. You can share whatever feels right. There is no pressure to dive in too deep or have the perfect words.
By the end of the session, I hope you’ll feel heard and a little lighter. This is your space, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.

About me and my therapy practice
Are You Ready to Grow as a Therapist?
Working with adolescents and young adults is no small feat. Whether you’re in a high school, alternative provision, CAMHS, or somewhere in between, you’ve taken on the incredible role of supporting young people during some of their most pivotal moments. But let’s face it—while there’s plenty to love about the job, it’s not without its challenges.
Does this sound familiar?
- You’re navigating ethical dilemmas while striving to stay true to your values.
- You’re looking for genuine ways to connect with young clients facing emotional or behavioural struggles.
- You’re seeking guidance on adapting to a range of adolescent needs—whether it’s cultural differences, LGBTQ+ identity exploration, or neurodivergence.
- You want to feel more confident in your therapeutic decisions and professional identity.
This is where I come in.
With over a decade of experience working with teenagers, young adults, and their families, I get it. I’ve lived the pressures you’re facing— 10 years in high schools, collaborating with CAMHS, social care, police, and more. I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, from gang members to elite athletes. Whether it’s untangling a complex case or managing the weight of professional isolation, I provide a space for you to reflect, learn, and grow.
My approach is simple
I empower you to become the therapist you aspire to be. This isn’t just about solving problems—it’s about building your confidence, sharpening your skills, and strengthening your therapeutic identity. Whether you’re newly qualified or a seasoned pro, my goal is to help you build resilience and thrive in your practice.

- Specialised Support I focus on adolescent mental health, parental guidance, LGBTQ+ issues (including gender identity), and neurodivergence. I offer practical guidance on navigating mainstream school provisions, transitional periods, and family dynamics.
- Holistic Development Great therapy comes from bringing your authentic self into the room. I’ll help you tap into the parts of you that make you an extraordinary counsellor.
- Flexible Sessions In-person or online, Monday to Thursday, 11 am–7:30 pm—because your professional growth should fit into your life, not the other way around.

My first session
The First Step: Let’s Connect
Our journey together starts with a free 20–30 minute online consultation. This is a relaxed and informal opportunity for us to meet, chat about how I work, and explore the supervision services I offer. We’ll take time to discuss your needs and decide if I’m the right fit to support you. If, at any point, we feel I might not be the best match, I’ll happily guide you toward a supervisor who better suits your needs.
Moving Forward
If we decide to work together, I’ll send over a supervision contract and intake forms for you to complete before our first full session. During that first session, we’ll review everything in detail, ensuring we’re both on the same page about how we’ll work together.
My aim is for you to leave the session with a clear understanding of who I am and the confidence that I can help you achieve your professional goals.
