About me and my therapy practice
‘ You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending’ – C.S. Lewis
Hi, welcome to my profile. I wish you the best in your search for a therapist. Reaching out is difficult and it takes your own length of time. The tiniest steps can lead to the most beautiful growth.
In the meantime let me introduce myself.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of counselling models to support you in a way that best suits your needs. My approach involves listening, reflecting, and exploring insights to help you gain clarity and understanding. I believe that no one person sees the world in the same way, and no one has all the answers—but together, we can work towards the change you seek.
Creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment is at the heart of my practice. The therapeutic relationship is important, and I want you to feel seen, heard, and understood.
I have experience working with individuals struggling with generalised anxiety, panic attacks, low mood, and depression. My background as a mental health nurse has given me additional insight into the challenges of mental health and wellbeing.
I also have personal experience of living with long-term health conditions and understand the journey of learning to accept and adapt to life’s challenges. My MSc in Transcultural Mental Healthcare has deepened my understanding of illness, cultural perspectives on mental health, and help-seeking behaviours, allowing me to offer therapy that is sensitive to diverse experiences.
Practice description
I offer face-to-face and online therapy (via Zoom, WhatsApp, or telephone) so that you can access support in the way that works best for you.
I am a member of a professional counselling body: BACP - British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by the BACP code of ethical practice.
Choosing the right counsellor is important. To help you decide, I offer a free 15-minute introductory call where we can discuss what you’re looking for in therapy. If we decide to work together, we will agree on a regular weekly session, either open-ended or for an initial six sessions, with the option to review.
