About me and my therapy practice

My name is Samantha, and I am a qualified therapist based in Derry/Londonderry and Donegal. I have a genuine passion for helping individuals achieve their goals and create positive changes in their lives. My approach involves providing a safe and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own life. By opening up and sharing your thoughts and feelings with me, we can work together to address areas of low confidence, self-doubt, insecurities, stress, anxiety, and low mood. My goal is to empower you to effectively navigate the challenges that life presents.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance to me, and I am committed to creating an environment where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions. I work with individuals of various age groups, starting from 11 years old and up, including children, young people, and adults.

Let's embark on this journey of self-discovery and personal growth together.

Practice description

I provide flexible options for therapy sessions, including face-to-face, online, or telephone sessions, based on your preference and convenience.

For face-to-face sessions, we can arrange to meet in the comfortable and confidential setting, allowing for a more personal and direct interaction.

If you prefer the convenience and flexibility of online sessions, we can utilize secure video conferencing platforms to conduct our sessions remotely. This option ensures that you can participate in therapy from the comfort of your own space.

Additionally, if you prefer the convenience of telephone sessions, we can connect over the phone to have meaningful and effective therapy sessions.

I am committed to providing you with options that suit your needs and preferences, ensuring that you can access therapy in a way that is most comfortable and convenient for you

My first session

I offer a complimentary telephone consultation that serves as an opportunity for us to determine if working together is the right fit for you. This initial consultation typically lasts around 20 minutes and allows us to get a sense of each other before committing to the therapeutic process.

Our therapy sessions are completely confidential and typically take place on a weekly basis, with each session lasting 50 minutes. During our first session, we will establish a mutual agreement on how we will work together and discuss your specific goals for therapy.

The number of sessions required will vary depending on several factors, including your preferences and individual needs. There is no set limit to the number of sessions you must attend, and we will regularly review our progress to ensure that you are receiving the support you require and making the most out of therapy.

For the first session involving children or young individuals, parents are more than welcome to be present. Their presence can provide additional support and contribute to a comfortable and nurturing environment for the child/young person.
