About me and my therapy practice
My approach to psychotherapy is integrated and collaborative; I believe my clients to be experts in their own experiences and I work with them relationally to explore how they live, experience and relate to the world and others, working with them to unpack deeply held beliefs about themselves and others, with the shared aim of long-lasting change. I have a particular interest in psychodynamic and trauma-informed approaches.
I work in both private practice and the NHS which offers a spectrum of experience and an awareness of the services and community support available for mental illness.
My first session
I offer an initial 50 minute consultation at a lower rate for us to establish if we can work together, what we are working on and how we might best work together -e.g. in an open ended or time-limited way.
During this session we will explore certain specific areas to develop an assessment of what is going on for you, and how we can work on this.
