This is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the collective impact of counselling and psychotherapy over the past 50 years, and the people, organisations and communities who have helped shape our profession.

At the heart of this campaign is the idea of together. Over the past 50 years, members, staff, volunteers and organisations have all played a part in supporting individuals, families and communities, and helping to improve mental health across the four nations.

What would you like to celebrate?

We're looking for stories, reflections, memories and milestones that highlight:

  • the difference counselling and psychotherapy have made to individuals, communities and society
  • the people, experiences and moments that have shaped your journey
  • achievements and developments that have influenced the profession over the last 50 years
  • the role BACP and its members have played in supporting and strengthening the profession
  • your hopes and aspirations for the future

We're keen to hear stories from across our specialisms, sectors and the four nations, so we can reflect the breadth and diversity of our profession.

You might choose to share why being part of BACP is important to you, a moment you're particularly proud of, an achievement you've witnessed in the profession, or your hopes for the future. These are your stories, so tell us what matters most to you.

As well as reflecting on the past 50 years, we'd love to hear your hopes and aspirations for the future of your work, the association and the counselling and psychotherapy profession.
