Networks

Networks are an invaluable means of meeting with other members and workplace practitioners, providing opportunities for exchanging information, exploring areas of common interest, and promoting mutual support and a sense of professional belonging. They can also offer formal and informal continuing professional development activity and events.

Area networks

If you are interested in starting a network in your area, we can help. Please contact juliehughes@mindmatterscounselling.co.uk.

Trauma networks

We are keen to develop networks for practitioners interested in all aspects of trauma and critical incidents in the workplace. These will explore different ways of providing appropriate support for members and encouraging the flow of information and expertise on issues such as working with groups who have experienced trauma, managing clients with possible PTSD and training in working with trauma.

For more information, contact Julie Hughes, email juliehughes@mindmatterscounselling.org.uk

Jiscmail groups

We have two jiscmail groups - BACP Workplace Members and BACP Workplace Managers - which provide a forum for members to discuss issues with colleagues, share information and good practice, and advertise relevant events.

To join email Tina Abbott abbottta@cardiff.ac.uk or Julie Hughes juliehughes@mindmatterscounselling.co.uk.

LinkedIn network

We have an active discussion group on LinkedIn. If you are a LinkedIn member, just search for the BACP Workplace group and click 'Ask to join'.
