This award recognises, promotes and rewards good practice by members of BACP. It seeks to salute achievement in the preceding twelve months and to help support the development and continuous improvement of the professional skills and competences of counsellors and psychotherapists.

It celebrates the essential role voluntary and community organisations play in delivering accessible, ethical and high‑quality counselling and psychotherapy to communities - often in contexts of limited funding, rising demand and significant social need.

This award spotlights organisations that provide exceptional client care, community impact, inclusive and responsive practice, and a commitment to equity and social justice, reflecting the distinctive contribution the third sector makes to the mental‑health ecosystem in the UK. It acknowledges the sector’s innovation, resourcefulness and ability to reach people who may not otherwise access therapeutic support.
