Research Conference submissions

We'll email an acknowledgement of receipt of your abstract after the closing date for submissions. If you don't receive an acknowledgement within seven days of the closing date, email us at research.conference@bacp.co.uk. We cannot take responsibility for abstracts that do not reach us - it is your responsibility to ensure that you receive an acknowledgement.

By submitting to the BACP Research Conference, presenters agree to be scheduled at any time on Friday or Saturday 17 to 18 May 2024.

If you present at the conference, your name, the names of your co-presenters and co-authors, your email address, affiliation and workplace or place of study, will appear on your abstract, in the PDF abstract booklet and on our website. It's your responsibility to ensure that no copyright laws are breached in terms of intellectual property and authors, and that the work is your own. We take no responsibility for any breach of copyright.

We reserve the right to amend and correct spellings and grammatical errors in abstracts used for the conference.

Following the peer review process, if you accept an invitation to present this is a firm commitment by you to attend and participate at the conference. Once the programme is drawn up, it is difficult to adjust to late withdrawal and this can create costs for us. You must pay for your conference attendance before the programme goes to print. It is the presenter's responsibility to book and pay for their conference place in good time.

If, having accepted the invitation, you're unable to present let us know as soon as possible so we can minimise disruption to the programme.

Please be aware that if you’re invited to present at the conference there is an attendance fee for both online and in-person presenters. The attendance fees for 2024 are still to be confirmed, however it is anticipated that online attendance will attract a lower fee rate than in-person conference attendance.

Disclaimer

Our Research Conference provides a forum for the exchange of research information between members and non-members, both of whom are welcome to present and attend. The conference is open to anybody to present their research if they fulfil the reviewing criteria. This conference is a not-for-profit event. Views expressed in any presentation are the views of the presenter or their organisation and are not necessarily our views. Inclusion in the programme doesn't imply endorsement of the research or of the presenter’s views and we take no responsibility in guaranteeing its quality. Any queries in relation to the official approval or appropriateness of any research presented at this conference should be directed to the authors or presenters; we bear no responsibility for this.

By submitting to the BACP Research Conference you are agreeing with the terms and conditions above.
