What's included

Trauma presents in many forms and can be deeply overwhelming for both clients and practitioners. Everyone's experience evokes different emotional responses, and the therapeutic journey often requires patience, attunement, and a collaborative search for safety and meaning. Healing emerges through understanding, regulation, and working towards positive, sustainable outcomes.
This conference will explore best practice in trauma work, drawing on evidence based, trauma informed approaches. Through theory, clinical insight, and practical tools, we aim to support practitioners in deepening their confidence and competence when working with the complexities of trauma in the therapy room.

The aims of the event are to:

  • bring private practitioners together, in person and online, to discuss, reflect and engage with a range of complex issues around working with trauma.

This is an opportunity for learning and sharing, as well as networking and community-building.

The learning outcomes of the conference are to:

  • gain an understanding of trauma protocols and principles and how this relates to practice when working with a range of trauma narratives and experiences
  • apply trauma informed practice to work, by delivering your service through a trauma-focused lens
  • consider evidence-based practice linked to resilience and feel confident and empowered to work with trauma
  • develop participants knowledge of wider support available for counsellors and clients when working with trauma
