Topic: Re-framing addiction.
The word ‘addiction’ in our culture can bring judgements, uncomfortable feelings and fixed beliefs. We may use words like self medication, comfort eating, recreational drugs, shopping therapy, binge-watching to describe a behaviour that has a quality of addiction but has an outlet that is normalised. In this open experiential workshop, Mags Lewis and Dan D'Innella are interested in exploring beyond the myths and taboos in and outside the counselling room.
