What's included 

Our annual in-person Supervisor’s event, dedicated to providing supervision specific CPD to support supervisors’, will be held in Leeds on Thursday 25 September 2025. The theme for the event is – ‘Working with ethical complexity in supervision’. 

This year’s supervisor event aims to provide practitioners who supervise the opportunity to connect with other supervisors, share best practice, and engage in relevant CPD to enhance supervision practice. Content will focus on ethical complexities that can emerge in supervision to support you in dealing with difficult issues arising in your work, help you to reflect on your role as a supervisor, and develop your supervision approach to ensure you leave with tangible takeaways that you can apply in your practice.

The aims of the event are to:

  • enhance supervisory competence, skills, and knowledge
  • encourage collaborative and reflective supervision practice
  • offer peer to peer support through meaningful conversations to build confidence
  • provide tangible takeaways to apply to your supervision practice

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • enhance confidence and competence in working with ethical complexity in supervisory relationships
  • experience meaningful conversations with peers and presenters to enhance their practice
  • develop a supportive network of peers
  • reflect on the process of collaborative decision making in supervisory relationships
  • explore the contexts in which supervision takes place (social, clinical, political etc)

Event programme:

The event will be structured into interactive sessions designed to engage participants actively:

  • Workshops: Interactive workshops will focus on key areas and encourage group discussion
  • Panel discussions: Experienced subject matter experts will share insights and answer questions regarding common supervisory challenges and innovative approaches
  • Group activities: Participants will collaborate in small groups to focus on ideas for their key takeaways, encouraging peer learning and support

On-demand recordings from the event will be available from Thursday 2 October 2025 and available until Friday 2 January 2026.
