I offer online and in-person counselling on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays, including evening appointments. My latest appointment time is 7 pm. I also offer appointments on Saturday mornings between 9 and 1 pm.  

About me and my therapy practice

You’re probably seeking counselling because something just  doesn’t feel right. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, fearful, overwhelmed, stuck, or angry. You may feel hopeless or wonder why you’ve lost your spark. You may be feeling a confusing range of emotions.  If you’re unable to talk to your partner, family or friends, you may also be feeling very lonely.  It may be that you know why you’re experiencing these feelings but, just as often, it can be hard to pinpoint where they come from. Sometimes it's taken many years for these feelings to build up.  

I provide a confidential, compassionate and safe space to help you understand what you're experiencing and why.  I will support you in working through your feelings and untangling them.  This may also involve looking at whether making changes to how you think and act will help you move forward. However daunting and complicated this may seem right now, I will help you make sense of things.

Practice description

Our sessions will be guided by you and what you bring to each session. What we talk about will depend on what you're seeking help with. Often counselling involves talking about past and current life events, the things you're finding difficult, your feelings, thoughts and beliefs, your relationships, and your childhood.  I am a person-centred counsellor, which means that I focus on self-development and personal growth to help you become your true self.  Person-centred counselling can bring many positive changes, including greater self-awareness and self-understanding, improved self-reliance and self-esteem, release of feelings of insecurity, defensiveness, guilt and shame, and healthier relationships.  

My first session

I offer a free initial online or telephone consultation of up to 30 minutes to discuss your needs, answer any questions you may have about counselling, and make sure you are comfortable that we can work together.  After that, we can agree a weekly day and time for your counselling sessions. I will also ask you to sign a standard counselling agreement which we will go over together in the first session.
