About me and my therapy practice
Many of us are trying to cope with issues like anxiety, depression and bereavement. We can feel low, sad, unhappy or confused and not know why. Sometimes this can get too much and we begin to struggle. Whatever you bring to our sessions, you can talk openly without fear of judgement. No problem is too small or too big. I'm here to listen and to help. Together we will find a way for you to understand what is affecting you and for you to move on with your life.
In my own life, personal counselling has been an invaluable tool in helping me to overcome difficult and uncomfortable situations and events. Times when talking to friends and family just wasn't possible, showed me how powerful having a trained professional listen to you can be.
As a person-centred counsellor, putting you at the focal point of our work is vital, you are the expert on you. Together we will unravel your worries and rebuild your confidence to put you in control of your life.
I am told that my sessions are calming but that doesn't mean that they are not emotional for the client or for the counsellor.
You are use whichever words that you wish, unless they are aimed at me, I won't be offended or upset.
My first session
All sessions last for 50 minutes and first sessions are £35 with any further sessions being £50. Our first meeting will be a time where we can learn a little about each other and when we can both decide whether we will be able to work together or not. You can see how and where I work and get an idea or how it feels. The room is quiet, comfortable, safe, private and confidential.
