About me and my therapy practice

I have worked as a qualified counsellor since the year 2000. I have trained from certificate level, gaining a degree and post-graduate diploma and latterly gained a masters in professional studies in counselling and psychotherapy.

So how do I work? I work with people with a variety of presenting problems, depression, anxiety, bereavement, work place issues in a long and short term frame.

I am also an accredited supervisor of counsellors and work in organisational contexts delivering supervision as well as to individual counsellors and students. My core training is in psycho-dynamic concepts but I also have training in couple work, CBT and integrative models having taught in further education as a counselling tutor, I have a thorough knowledge base.

I believe in making connections between the past and present and gaining personal insight and awareness into what the underlying cause may be and appropriately addressing concerns in a safe and contained therapeutic envirnoment.

Availability

I am a counsellor and psychotherapist working from my consulting room. I offer clinical supervision as part of my practice both privately and in providing clinical supervision in the third sector for organisations. My trainings are in counselling and psychotherapy including being a trained supervisor in a number of contexts.

About me and my therapy practice

I am trained in an integrative modality but recent trainings have been in psychoanalysis and understanding how the past impacts upon the present functioning. This in depth work supports my clients in their mental health and wellbeing. My practice is provided in a confidential setting which secures a safe place to explore feelings. I counsel and supervise across a variety of settings and encourage safe ethical practice.
