About me and my therapy practice
When you're struggling or feeling unsure, it's sometimes easier to talk to someone who doesn't have any preconceptions about who you are and how you live your life. My aim is to understand where you're at and what's not going so well for you. Then, I hope to support you to look at your circumstances differently and expand your options.
Talking therapy is my vocation and professional passion. I trained in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (Minster Centre, BACP accredited), an approach that draws from the major therapeutic schools of thought. In practice this means that I reflect on what you think and feel on many levels and help you to understand yourself better.
Whatever you wish to share, I give you time to find the right words and space to reflect. I also work relationally. So as we develop a trusting, confidential partnership I will help you to notice how you relate to yourself and others. I am of dual heritage and always take account of the impact of cultural background on everyday experiences and relationships.
I offer a free first hour-long session. This gives us both a chance to see how we get along and to decide whether we can work together. Afterwards the sessions are 50 minutes long and £60 each.
