About me and my therapy practice
When you're struggling, it's sometimes easier to talk to someone from "outside". Someone who doesn't have any preconceptions about who you are and how you live your life. I believe that it's always possible to look at your circumstances through a new lens and do things differently.
Counselling is my vocation and professional passion. I trained in Integrative Counselling (Minster Centre, BACP accredited) and psychotherapy, an approach that draws from the major therapeutic schools of thought. In practice this means that I reflect on what you think and feel on many levels and help you to find your own understanding.
I am of dual heritage and have a background in languages: Communicating and listening are at the heart of my practice. Whatever you wish to share, I give you time to find the right words and space to reflect. I also work relationally. So as we develop a trusting, confidential partnership I will help you to notice how you relate to yourself and others.
I offer a free first hour-long session. This gives us both a chance to see how we get along and to decide whether we can work together. Afterwards the sessions are 50 minutes long and £50 each.
