About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative BACP registered therapist and a member of its coaching division. I have over 10 years’ experience working in mental health services, which includes working in mental health charities including Mind and New pathways. I have also worked as a therapist for the NHS service for high risk eating disorders (SHED) and as a Clinical Assistant for the Dyscovery Centre (University of South Wales) assisting Psychologists , Psychiatrists and other health professionals within a diagnostic and support service for adults and children suspected or having a Neurodevelopment disorder.
Description of Service.
I am a Health and Wellbeing Therapeutic Coach that enables people to increase their ability to self-manage, increase commitment, and enable them to change their lifestyles. A health coach is a supportive mentor who helps their clients make healthy lifestyle choices to improve their overall wellness.
I work mainly as a person-centred therapist but integrate other approaches that may be useful to the individual to achieve their desired outcome. This may involve psychoeducation, solution focused therapy , CBT, and NLP. Person centred therapy. Coaching is about change and action. The core purpose of coaching is to increase self-awareness, whereas counselling is reparative in nature , we look at how trauma narratives of the past may be impacting on the ‘ here and now’. Therapy heals the root, that creates the strong foundation to build upon.

I am not a nutritionist or physician , so please consult your doctor before undertaking a change to your diet or medication . As a health coach it is my responsibility to look into different aspects that may be impacting on unhealthy choices such as relationships, beliefs, poor sleep, lack of exercise and maladaptive eating patterns.
