About me and my therapy practice
Sometimes it can be difficult to talk to family or friends about how you really feel, and you just need someone to talk to who is able to take their time to listen to you, without judgement.
You may have experienced difficult life events, developed a long-term health condition or disability, or maybe you just don't feel like yourself any more and you need some help in working out why. Whatever your situation, some experiences can create difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions which I can help you to manage and work through in our therapy work together.
I use a person-centred approach as the basis of my counselling work which will help you to make sense of your life experiences and support you in creating your own solutions to your current difficulties. This will help you to re-build a sense of who you are, improve your self-esteem and enable you to live your life authentically.
In addition to the person-centred approach I also offer tools and techniques used in solution focused therapy, positive psychology, compassion focused therapy and life coaching. The combination of these tools and techniques ensures that the work that we do is specifically tailored to you, which will ensure that you leave therapy feeling confident and well equipped for any challenges that life may bring in future.
Our working relationship will form an integral part of the therapeutic process with the sessions moving at your pace, in a safe environment, free from judgement.
