About me and my therapy practice

I offer 50minute therapy sessions tailored to the individual needs of each client in a compassionate and sensitive way.

Sessions are confidential & a safe space to share openly & explore feelings, reflect & gain a better understanding of the self & emotional well-being that can help to inform change and improve self-worth & self-esteem. I work in a non-judgmental & respectful manner.

Counselling may help to achieve a more authentic way of being, as we make sense of & understand how our past affects our present feelings & behaviours it may be possible to make changes to the way we live our lives and relate to others in the present.

Counselling may not be an easy process, sharing emotional & difficult situations & feelings can be daunting as well as finding ways to change which may bring mixed feelings, but with my support along the way, we will endeavour to find the way forward that is right for you.

About me and my therapy practice

I aim to facilitate a safe, trusting and supportive environment where you can explore your counselling practice. My supervision style is relational and encourages growth and autonomy through challenge, understanding and teaching.

I have a strong commitment to ethical practice and would inspire my supervisee's to develop their own evaluating process with reference to their ethical framework.

My supervision training - Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in Counselling Supervision through Barnabas Counselling Training, accredited by the CPCAP.  I use the Cyclical Model of Supervision.

My counselling training - Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling at Farnborough College, BA (Hons) Degree in Counselling at Guildford College (accredited by the University of Greenwich) and Certificate in Counselling Young People at No. 5 Reading.

My training is integrative and humanistic drawing on various theoretical perspectives, integrating knowledge and skills from Person-centred, Existential, Gestalt, Psychodynamic and Attachment Loss & Bereavement theories. Working with the here and now and reflecting on difficult issues and experiences from the past or present, I believe can lead to self-awareness and an understanding of learnt behaviour which can lead to change.

I am an Accredited Member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I have current liability insurance.

I maintain regular and ongoing professional development and supervision in accordance with BACP Ethical Framework and regulations.

I work with qualified counsellors and trainees.

I offer face-to-face supervision in both Hartley Wintney and Hook or online using Zoom. Please feel free to call or email me to discuss your supervision requirements.
