I am a highly experienced Telephone/Online Counsellor and a Senior Practitioner of over 24 years. 

I work online and in Victoria, London SW1, 5 minutes walk from the Station. 

About me and my therapy practice

I am a Senior BACP Counsellor of 24 years. I specialise in Short Term therapy and in supporting people with Anxiety, Depression and Self-Esteem issues; I am also a Couples Counsellor so I can help support you as an individual with your relationships.

I am able to help you through difficult times, to help you manage life better, to have more coping strategies and to increase your self confidence and clarity to move forwards.

You may be struggling with a particular problem or feeling sad, depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, flat, frustrated or irritable etc.

It may be a failing relationship or a recognition of patterns repeating. Maybe you've talked to family and friends for support but you still feel stuck and distressed.

Counselling allows you to build your self-awareness. To identify core issues, to help you clarify the changes needed and talk through how to do that.

I have numerous trainings so I work with a broad range of approaches - including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Solution Focussed techniques, Compassion Focussed therapy and Life Coaching etc, however my core training is in Psychosynthesis - an approach acknowledging the distress and pain of your current struggles but it also holds a wider perspective… what is going on here? why is this happening? and what in you may have the opportunity to develop in this situation? Therefore, what is troubling you currently, may be the very thing that can lead to a positive change, psychological growth and personal fulfilment.

In therapy we can sometimes reflect on the past in order to make sense of your experiences today. Understanding how your potential could be held back through your past conditioning and what you may need to let go of or to reclaim to be happier...The focus is on where you are now and where and how you want to be...

Practice description

I work with people in:

* Short Term Counselling - to support you with your current struggles and to help you in an empathic and practical way to understand yourself better and feel more able to cope in your life.

* Long Term Counselling - for historical and deeper seated issues.

Most people seek couples counselling at a time when trust in each other and communication in the relationship has for the most part, broken down. It can feel impossible to connect to each other, to communicate, to understand each others needs and it can feel your connection has been lost.

It is possible that both partners have differing ideas for their ideal relationship future and as individuals you feel you cannot flourish and grow within the relationship. You may be thinking about separating or it might be possible this is an opportunity to grow into a new chapter together.... It can feel hopeless but also that there's a lot at stake...

it is possible to find new ways to connect and to look anew at the conflicts and differences that cause friction and distance between you both that can be so painful.

Couples counselling can help you both understand the dance happening between you; to give you the opportunity to understand each other; to give you both the space to look anew at your relationship and to learn some new ways of talking and listening to each other with understanding, compassion and respect.

Through Counselling you may find it is possible to reconnect and learn some new tools to talk and manage your differences or it may be a way to be more open about your needs and to see if you do want to have a future together as a couple.

We will agree a first date and time and You can tell me what is going on for you and we will take it from there. 

I offer a warm and empathic listening ear to support you and together we can talk about practical strategies for clarity and to help you move forwards.
