Hello my name is Sara and as a psychotherapist I wish to show people such as yourself that there is an affordable way to get help through counselling, that you are not alone in your struggles, that talking therapy can help you to make small changes that can have a massive impact on your life in a positive way.
I am an experienced person-centred Counsellor/Psychotherapist, specialising in Addiction therapy. I have been working in the counselling field for eight years now. Three and a half of those running a small bespoke practice, alongside working for the NHS private healthcare and community charities. My aim is to provide a counselling service that promotes a warm loving environment by which clients can find themselves and the joy of life again.
I feel that counselling in today's world is more important than ever. High levels of stress in the constant "switched on" society of today, is having an effect on the mental health of us all.
With this stress more and more people are looking for coping strategies to "turn off" or ignore their issues rather than dealing with them. Specialising in Addiction Counselling I have worked with those who use various substances and processes to cope with everyday life including:

Workaholic and many more.
The counselling session belongs to you and as your counsellor, I will support you as you make the decisions to make small changes that will lead to positive changes.
My first session
During the Pandemic I am offering a free initial Introduction session that lasts 50 minutes, this session allowing us to get to know each other, and explore how counselling will help you. During this session, I will ask you to share with me what has brought you to counselling, I will discuss with you how I work and the confidentiality policy I abide by. After this, I offer either time-limited therapy (6-10 sessions) or open-ended therapy where we will review the process periodically to ensure you are getting the most from our time together. After this, appointments are usually arranged on a weekly basis, which we can discuss and plan together when we meet.
