About me and my therapy practice
I am Andreea, a psychotherapist with an approach rooted in person-centred theory. I believe in your capacity for growth, and my role is to provide you with a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space to lead your own journey of self-discovery. I practice under the name 'Inner Equilibrium Psychotherapy,' characterised by a commitment to non-judgment, empathy, and individuality.
I approach therapy with compassion and warmth, working collaboratively with you to make sense of and untangle challenges such as understanding your emotions, communicating effectively, and embracing and understanding your own vulnerability. This is the space where you get to express things previously left unspoken, learn and unlearn, ultimately discovering that little bit more about who you are and how to live authentically.
My commitment is to ensure you feel truly heard and understood every step of the way. Through our collaboration, you will gain valuable insights, develop self-awareness, and discover the tools to empower yourself, enabling you to make decisions and choices that align with your needs and aspirations.
I am a qualified person-centred psychotherapist with a diverse professional background. This includes supporting student mental health within higher education contexts and my role as a Volunteer Counsellor at the LGBT Foundation. These experiences have equipped me to support clients in their journey towards embracing and embodying their most authentic selves.
I have worked extensively with clients facing a wide range of presentations, including chronic and life-limiting illnesses, loss, grief, bereavement, relationship issues, gender, sexuality, as well as experiences of historic sexual abuse and historic childhood sexual abuse. I welcome LGBTQIA+ clients, my therapeutic practice is affirmative and welcoming of all experiences.
My first session
If you are interested in working with me, please contact me via email. We can have a discussion about the therapeutic process, making sure it aligns with your needs and expectations.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute call, which is an opportunity for us to become acquainted, explore your previous therapy experiences, address any concerns you may have, and ascertain whether working together is the right fit before booking the first session.
Session Options and Rates
Counselling sessions typically extend for 50 minutes and are generally scheduled on a weekly basis. I also provide extended sessions lasting 60 and 75 minutes at the following rates:
£50 for 50 minutes
£60 for 60 minutes
£70 for 75 minutes
I offer both short- and long-term therapy options. There is no predetermined maximum session limit, as the number of sessions required will be determined collaboratively and adjusted as needed to reflect your progress and evolving therapeutic needs.
Whatever it is that feels deserving of your attention right now, throughout your counselling journey, I will be alongside you, offering my support as you explore your feelings, thoughts, and experiences, therefore giving you the space to make meaningful progress in your personal growth.
