About me and my therapy practice
I have worked as a therapist for over 5 years both long and short term.
I have training in Trauma and worked with clients who are experiencing this either from past issues or recent. If you are experiencing issues around drugs and alcohol, suicidal thoughts, Mental health issues, family issues, school or work problems. Pregnancy loss or miscarriage.
Anger, stress, anxiety, low selfesteem, self-harm or depression please contact me.
Practice description
I am an integrative humanistic counsellor, which means I am person-centred and use my training and experience in different approaches to suit my client's needs. As an Integrative therapist, my focus is centred on you as the client and working in a way that is most supportive to you and your issues. I work face to face both long or short term. During our counselling together the sessions will be reviewed to make sure it is meeting your needs.
Taking that courageous step and talking to a counsellor can be the support that you need to know that you are not alone. That there is someone you can talk to in a safe environment without judgment. A safe place where you can find the help you need to work through that life time issue you have been struggling with or speaking to someone about that one issue that you can't seem to move forward from. Finding that space to reflect, speak and be heard.
My first session
I offer an initial telephone call to get a understanding/outline of what you would like from therapy.
We discuss the availability of the sessions and when we can meet for our first assessment session. (the first consultation is charged at my normal rate)
During this assessment session we will discuss your goals and your expectations from counselling, I will ask you to fill out the counselling agreement forms with your personal and medical information.
This will be a chance for you to ask any questions about the agreement or any concerns you have. We will also clarify and discuss confidentiality etc.
