About me and my therapy practice
I provide online therapy via video, email and Instant messaging. Online therapy has helped to give people more choice over the way they receive therapy and I believe this makes counselling more accessible, flexible and often easier to attend. I also believe that the length of counselling is very personal to individual circumstances, and I offer short term, single sessions as well as longer term therapy.
We face a lot of different changes and challenges in our lives, some we deal with, some we manage through talking with friends and family and some we find difficult to make sense of or cope with and need more focused help to get through. Counselling can help to manage and makes sense of your experience, thoughts and feelings and explore ways to cope and build resilience for the future.

I am person centred and CBT trained and also have specialist training for online therapy via the Online Therapy Institute. I am a professional member of ACTO (The Association for Counselling and Therapy Online)
Every individual is different and counselling is very much a joint relationship between us. There are no set rules in how we work - the most important thing is that you feel safe and have a trusted, non judgemental space to talk.
My first session
I offer a free telephone call or short 15min Zoom meeting to discuss your needs before you need to make a decision about working together. Please contact me and we can arrange a suitable time for a short chat.
Once agreed, there will be some paperwork/contract to sign and then we will agree a time for our first session. The first full session will include an assessment - which enables me to find out more about you and ask a few background questions to help us in our work together.
