About me and my therapy practice
I am a BACP-accredited integrative psychotherapist, counsellor, and counselling tutor, trained in psychodynamic, person-centred, and CBT approaches. I work with adults and couples, offering short- and long-term therapy either face-to-face, online, or via telephone, depending on your needs and preferences.
My integrative approach means I draw on different therapeutic models to provide a flexible and personalised service. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space where we can explore the challenges you are facing and work towards meaningful change.
Together, we may look at how early experiences shape current behaviours and emotional patterns, helping you to understand and shift long-standing difficulties. I believe that increasing self-awareness and recognising the unconscious influences on our thoughts and actions can lead to genuine, lasting transformation.
Underpinning all my therapeutic work is the knowledge that it is ultimately the quality of the relationship between client and therapist - that's you and me - that heals.
Practice description
I hold a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton, London. My approach is grounded in evidence-based theory and clinical experience, integrating psychodynamic, person-centred, and cognitive behavioural models.
I have significant experience working with men on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, anger, trauma, ADHD, and the psychological impact of societal expectations and stereotyping. I aim to provide a supportive and non-judgemental space where clients can explore their experiences openly and safely.
My first session
I offer a free 20-minute consultation via phone or Zoom. You're welcome to contact me by phone or email to arrange this—both methods are fully confidential. This initial conversation gives you the opportunity to share a little about what’s bringing you to counselling, and allows you to get a sense of how I work and whether you feel we might be a good fit.
If we choose to proceed, we can arrange a 50-minute initial session either in person at my consulting room or online. This provides a chance to explore your concerns in more depth, including how past experiences may be shaping your present challenges.
Should you decide to continue, we would then meet weekly at the same time and day. Sessions can be time-limited (short-term) or open-ended (long-term), depending on your needs and preferences. The length and focus of therapy can be reviewed together at any point.
