About me and my therapy practice
Would you like to have somewhere to think about what's going on for you? Maybe your feeling anxious, sad, lonely or you're just not feeling like 'you'. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental space for you to explore your feelings, at your own pace.
Having the space and time to focus on you may sound indulgent but what's more important than getting to know your true self?
Psychodynamic counselling gives you the opportunity to explore your inner world, your thoughts and feelings, past and present. You may wonder where certain traits or behavioural patterns stem from. Talking with a therapist can open up things you didn't even realise about yourself.
Working together, we'll start to make sense of what is going on for you and gradually find meaning amongst the chaos, thereby enabling you to move on and have a more sincere and genuine relationship with yourself and others!
Qualifications and Training:
- Level 5 Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (BACP accredited)
- Foundation Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling
- Registered Member of the BACP working to their standards for Good Practice and to their Code of Ethics.
- Professional liability insured
- Enhanced DBS checked
I'm here to listen to you with empathy, acceptance and authenticity, whilst being free of judgement.
Being able to speak openly will help you to understand more about yourself and in turn, this can feel extremely freeing. It's often easier to speak to someone who is independent from the rest of your life to share how you truly feel.
I am interested in you, your story and being alongside you on this journey to making your life more fulfilling and meaningful.
My first session
I offer a free 10-15 minute call for you to see if this type of therapy is what you're looking for and if I am able to help.
After that, if you would like to book in for a 50 minute consultation, we will go into more depth about yourself, your past and what you're hoping to get from therapy.
